Canisius 74, McKinley 70
In the headliner of the MLK Classic, the Crusaders prevailed in an instant classic between two of WNY's premier high school basketball programs.
LaTerrance Reed celebrated his 18th birthday with a team-high 22 points for Canisius. Stafford Trueheart scored 20 points, and Josh Huffman & Justin Jones each scored 12 points in the win.
Devin Morris led McKinley with a team-high 27 points, while Juwan Tolliver and Shaquan Jones each netted 11 points.

Sweet Home 59, Hutch-Tech 33
The Engineers had a two-point lead, 18-16, at halftime, before the Panthers erupted over the final 16 minutes. Sweet Home outscored Hutch-Tech, 45-15, in the third and fourth quarters, as Tech had no answers, regardless of wgat they switched to.
Adrian Drake finished with a game-high 19 points and a highlight block for the Panthers. Jordan Evert added 10 points for Sweet Home. Wilfredo Carerro led Hutch-Tech with 10 points.
East Aurora 66, Riverside 60
The Blue Devils played most of the game from behind, but kept things close enough at the end for Noah Thompson to hit the game-tying 3-pointer in the final minute of regulation. Once in the extra session, the momentum had shifted East Aurora's way. They outscored the Frontiers, 6-3, in overtime.
Thompson finished with a game-high 30 points for the victors, Cal McTigue scored 18 points, and Nick Montgomery added 10 points.
Damone McNamee led Riverside with 26 points, while Romero Gardener and Alex Johnson each scored 10 points.
Sherman 63, Olmsted 50
Brandon Roach opened the second half with a 3-pointer to give his Owls the lead on Sherman, but the Wildcats answered with an 18-4 run to go up 42-29. Olmsted managed to get back to within five points on a trey from sophomore Dan Reid with 2:05 remaining in the game, before the Wildcats closed out the game by scoring the final eight points.
Jake Card was a force inside and finished with 26 points for Sherman, while Colby Parks added 17 points, including three long balls.
Roach paced the Owls with 18 points.
Middle College 62, St. Francis 36
The Kats used a 24-4 third quarter to pull away from St. Francis. Middle College managed to prevent any Red Raider scorers from reaching double figure scoring in the game.
Fred Foster led the Kats with 19 points, while JoJo Staton added 17 points, including a pair of triples.
I-Prep 58, Maritime 40
The Presidents broke open what had been a five-point game at halftime, by outscoring Maritime, 31-18, in the second half.
Davon Gant finished with a game-high 20 points for I-Prep, while Xavier Maye added 16 points.
Health Sciences 78, City Honors 58
Kam Rashada scored 11 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter to erase any hope the Centaurs had of getting back into the game. After trailing by 18 points at halftime, City Honors had a strong third quarter to cut into the deficit, but Rashada's interior work kept City Honors off the boards and kept the points coming for the Falcons in crunch time.
Tyrin Lott scored 18 points for Health Sciences and Naz Flood added 11 points.
City Honors got a team-high 17 points from Ryan Langhorne, 14 points from Matt Cieslik, and 13 points from Jordahn Summers.
