** According to the rankings...
- WNY has four state champions this year, and two also earn Federation Championships. Park (A), Olean (B), & Middle College (C) all open with #1 rankings in the state, while St. Mary's is the highest ranked CHSAA school in Class B.
- There are three teams from Section V ahead of Niagara Falls, the only Class AA team to get ranked (#24)
- Tapestry wins Class C1 and gets a shot at Middle College in the crossover.
- Greece Athena knocks off Amherst in the Class A regional to advance to Glens Falls.
