The eleventh state rankings for the 2017 the season have been released by the NYSSWA. Below are the WNY teams that made the cut:

** According to the rankings...
- Fairport from Section V is all the way up to #3 in NYS Class AA.
- Williamsville South inched up two more spots to #5 in NYS Class A. The Billies are still looking up at Irondequoit from Section V, who is the #2 team.
- St. Francis dropped four spots, from #10 to #14 in NYS Class A following its loss at Timon. The Tigers moved up one spot from #24 to #23 after beating Frannies and Canisius last week.
- Park's loss at Bishop Kearney last week has them down to #15 in NYS Class A, while Olean crept up one spot to #22 heading into the postseason.
- East Aurora's win at Maryvale has the ECIC III champs sitting at #14 in NYS Class B, while Health Sciences was idle and remained at #22.
- The only movement in Class C was Randolph taking a one spot promotion to # 17.
- Clymer is now ranked in NYS Class D for the first time all season, after the Pirates completed the sweep of Sherman, who had occupied a place in the rankings for most of the season.
