The Buffalo eXtreme finished their regular season this past weekend, leading to a 15-4 regular season record and achieving a bye in the divisional round playoffs. The eXtreme kick off the playoffs with a home game at the XGEN Sports Complex
in West Seneca next Saturday, March 16th at 8 pm against the Rochester Kingz.
It has been quite an accomplishment thus far for the local professional ABA team playing in its first season, but the mission is not yet accomplished according to Buffalo eXtreme head coach Rich Jacob: “We know that we can match up favorably against the historically best teams in the ABA. We have already demonstrated that. Just because this is our first season, it does not mean that we view anything less than an ABA Championship as a success.” The eXTreme are focused on winning their first playoff games to ultimately advance to ABA. Championship weekend on April 19-20 in Mobile, Alabama.
Just last week, two eXtreme players were named to the ABA first team, an amazing accomplishment. Javon McCrae, the all time leading scorer in UB history, and Marcus Feagin, the leading rebounder in the entire 140+ team ABA, were named to the first team.
