During McKinley's loss to Bennett on Tuesday, Mike Davis hit a 3-pointer to pull the Macks within five points with just eight seconds remaining. During a timeout, the guy doing the McKinley book said to the scoreboard operator, "We can do this, we've done it before". The scoreboard operator said he'd bet him a buck it didn't happen, but was refused. Then the scoreboard operator said he'd bet him a slice at Buffalo State it wouldn't happen, and the reply was "no way, slices are like three bucks there". (Of course, they were joking and there was no actual wagering going on)

Without naming the player or team, here's a story of karma. Trailing by eight with about three minutes left on Friday night, a player penetrated and kicked the ball out to his teammate, who missed a 3-pointer. The player proceeded to yell at his teammate during game play, saying "c'mon, you gotta hit that". The next possesion down, the scolding player went to the free throw line and missed both attempts, then on the possesion after that, missed an open look from downtown.
I watched a game this week where a team lead by nearly 40 after three quarters, yet still sent the starters back into the game. Even after the lead exceeded 40, starters continued to push the tempo and shoot 3-pointers.
