Sweet Home 63, Nichols 52
Sweet Home fell behind to the upstart Vikings, 13-4 midway through first quarter, but a 15-0 run gave the Panthers control as the team's headed to intermission. In the third quarter, the Panthers led by as many as eight points, but saw that lead evaporate behind a strong quarter from sophomore Cam Lewis, who scored eight of his game-high 15 points in the third to help pull Nichols even after three, 43-43. Sweet Home found itself trailing again in the final stanza, 49-45, when a 3-pointer from Mike Torrillo spurred a 9-0 run to put the Panthers on top for good.
Khalid Barnes led Sweet Home with 13 points. The Panthers are now 2-0 and begin ECIC II play this Friday when they visit Iroquois.
