Where is Grand Island in your large school rankings? 16-1 with wins over Lockport and OP but not ranked? Please explain?

Bob
I’m assuming you are not new to this forum, but in the event that you are, I will start from the beginning. Grand Island first appeared in my rankings when I published them on Sunday, December 15th after a most impressive showing at the Cataract Classic against Williamsville North.
They remained ranked by myself for the next month and I had moved from #10 where they started, to #8, heading into their game at Lockport. They did not appear as a ranked team in the Buffalo News poll at that time because they were not receiving enough votes from the pollsters.
After their victory at Lockport, they moved up to #6 in my rankings, ahead of the Lions.
In the final week of January, Grand Island lost to Ken West by 7 and I dropped them from the rankings. KW was an unranked team and had just lost to unranked Williamsville East by 21 points on the Friday prior and went on to lose to Orchard Park 2 nights after defeating Grand Island, before the next rankings came out. On the same night I watched Ken West lose handily to Williamsville East, I watched Lockport defeat Amherst with the services of Mike Griffin (16.9 ppg), who left the game in the second quarter against Grand Island.
My decision at the time was based on a lack of quality nonleague scheduling by the Vikings that did not provide opportunity for more meaningful games to grade them on. At that point, the Lockport result, and the Ken West loss, were the only two things to really examine for rankings purposes. The Vikings faced the likes of Buffalo Arts, who has withdrawn from sectionals once again, along with winless Tonawanda and winless Maritime.
The last set of rankings before the season finale rankings, will come out this weekend. The fact that Grand Island defeated both Orchard Park and took the rematch against Ken West this week will help their cause this weekend when considering rankings.
So when you pose the question, "where is Grand Island in your rankings, 16-1 with wins over Lockport and OP", my short reply is:
Weekly rankings are released once a week. They were 14-1 with a win over Lockport and a loss Ken West when I put those rankings out. Today, they are 16-1 with wins over Lockport & OP along with a split against Ken West.
